Capturing Unique Spherical Panoramas of Germany

By Val Butcher

One lovely place or better-said country to visit is the Republic of Germany, especially if interested in shooting spherical panoramas. Germany counts many different castles located all over the German territory. The country's cities are magnificent and offer great detail to those interested in photography of all kinds.

At times people tend to confuse Germany for the Netherlands and vise versa. The Federal Republic is located in the west of Europe and border Holland to the east. The country of Denmark is located to the north and Poland to the east. Also, the North Sea is located to the north. These days, the republic counts a good eighty million inhabitants, most of which are located or reside in bigger cities such as Berlin and Frankfurt.

From some good friends and family that have traveled to this beautiful country, I learned that the Germans are exceptionally friendly. I very much look forward to the day that I will be to shoot a spherical panorama of 2 of locations and sites of all kinds. Despite the destruction that occurred as a result of WW2, Germany still has an incredible amount of historical structures standing in places all over the territory.

The capturing of good quality spherical panoramas has become a real hobby of mine. Those considering shooting similar panoramas, please review whatever instruction is out there online in terms of capturing such panoramas. A simple point-and-shoot digital camera simply will not do or suffice.

Germany is considered an innovative country, and has been home to a good number of influential scientists and inventors. Considered to have a high standard of living, this republic has a complex system of "social security." Its culture and political history is fascinating. Today, this country has the world 4th largest economy in the world. As a result of wonderful innovations over the years, the Germans enjoy a wonderful infrastructural network.

The shooting of a spherical panorama requires effort and patience most of the time. The places and sites that I shot in the past required some sitting around as to wait for good lighting opportunities and such.
