The Marve lous World of Tungsten Rings

By Gaby Schulz

Tungsten carbide ring can be removed by a medical professional. Rings made of extremely hard materials, like tungsten carbide or ceramic, can only be removed by cracking them into pieces with standard vice grip style locking pliers. Standard ring cutters will not work.

One of the classiest styles of tungsten carbide ring is the beveled variety. This is because it adds a little accent to a traditional polished band without overdoing it and becoming gaudy. One of the better beveled tungsten rings I've come across recently was presented by our affiliate. This ring was great because it really captured the elegance which a beveled tungsten ring is capable of. I've got an image of this beautiful piece below so that you can see just how precious it is.

This beauty of a ring has a real classy look. The broad band which runs through the center is a bit lighter than the darker tungsten hues, which adds a kind of subtelty to the ring. This adds to the elegance normally provided by a tungsten ring in the first place, resulting in an absolutely fantastic overall piece. The white gold used in this particular model is a 14k alloy, meaning that it's not too soft.

You still need to be a bit careful, though. As with any inlay ring, the other metal is definitely softer and more susceptible to scratches than the tungsten metal. With a little care, though, this isn't an issue. Overall, I give a definitive thumbs up to this particular inlay tungsten ring for its grace and its charm. If only all inlays could do as well as this one!

The design of the carvings is known as a celtic knot. The symbolism of eternal bonds represented by traditional tungsten carbide rings is enhanced even further by this design. This makes it absolutely ideal as a tungsten carbide wedding band. Every time you gaze upon the luscious luster of this ring it'll be hard to keep from remembering the timeless vows you made on your wedding day.
