Choosing The Best Mini Chandeliers For Small Room

By Melati Mutaqin

For someone who would like something a little different for their lighting needs, mini chandeliers may provide the uniqueness desired. These smaller versions of the originals are typically less than a foot in diameter and are able to give off sufficient light in foyers, staircases, and other small areas. Their appearance is much like the larger fixtures at a fraction of the cost.

Although these fixtures can provide an abundance of light, they are not suited for rooms that have high ceilings. A mini crystal chandelier cannot effectively light up the larger rooms with enough illumination. However, it is also essential that the ceilings are high enough to allow the fixture to hang down, but not be so low that anyone could hit their head on it.

Because the fixtures are smaller, they seem to work best in smaller rooms. These lights work well in bedroom, bathrooms, or breakfast areas. Today, some homeowners will use them in their kitchen.

Probably the most popular color for these lights is black or white. However, there are so many different colors to choose from, there will be a color to suit almost anyone's preference. They are also available in various metals, which can offer a unique look to the room.

Most people think of crystal chandeliers when they begin talking about the lighting. This has probably always been one of the most popular styles due to the way they reflect the light. The colors that are reflected can be seen when the prisms are installed near windows where they can catch the sun's light.

If a homeowner wishes to add some class to a particularly small room, mini chandeliers may be able to provide the look they want to achieve. There are many designs available to choose from such as Early American, Victorian, or Old World. The investment made in installing these elegant, light fixtures may provide years of enjoyment.
