Learn What Checks Should be Made before a Website Launch

By Ronnie Aguilar

When developing a quality website, there are many important things one has to consider besides the content and design elements. Thinking that the other smaller details of building a good website either aren't necessary or critical to its success, is the downfall of a lot of new bloggers and webmasters. Doing last minute checks on your website and making sure everything is in place is something every website owner should do before the launch day. It is going to help give you a more robust foundation to manage traffic as well as accelerated performance. That's the reason projects on Seonuking have changed the way in which we think about things today.

Is there a favicon on your website? Utilize a favicon for your website if you have not done it yet. Using something as simple as a favicon can make a big difference to your overall branding efforts towards your website. The favicon appears in their browser in the address bar and as well as in their bookmarks list if they happen to bookmark your site. The favicon does not have to be over the top. Just make sure it's simple enough for your visitors to understand and at the same time makes it very clear as to what your site is about. You can put a part of your logo in your favicon. It really does not matter, but make sure your website gets one.

Check your website links and make sure that all are functioning. Many times, links are no longer valid. This can easily happen during copy/paste. Do not make the assumption that all links are working until you check them. A bad thing would be for your links to be wrong. Think about that happening. Missing out on a sale because the link was not working can be a horrible thing. In addition, ensure that the links are leading to the correct site and that your site navigation is good.It is extremely important that before you make a decision you understand Income Instruments.

If your site functions at all, then test it out to see if everything is okay. For example, if you have a contact form on the contact page - use it yourself to see if it's giving any error and if the email is being delivered. You must be sure that your website in general works properly. Many times it only takes a small mistake to make your visitors exit the site, which makes you lose the sale. Also, ask a family member to inspect your website and then provide a honest opinion. This is because sometimes your own testing doesn't give you good results.

All websites are not the same and have their own personal purposes. However, the foundation of your site, no matter the subject, is in the presentation. if the site is not able to attract readers with its looks and seems unprofessional, then it does not have a good presentation. Doing the right checks for your website is always important. Quite naturally, you will want to make changes to improve your website. This is because everything can be improved at some point in time. But they do have to function the minute they are launched.
