When is Personalized Jewelry Good for Gifts?

By Dakota McCrae

It's okay to admit that, even though you might tell people that you do not particularly like personalized jewelry, you actually think that it is pretty cool. Not so long ago, personalized jewelry could only be purchased through very expensive jewelers--it was a very expensive gift to give!

Alphabet beads got released and changed everything--now people could make jewelry of their own! It wasn't long before people learned how to emblazon their names upon all sorts of different types of jewelry and accessories. Today people think that giving name plated jewelry is great! Here are just some of the times when giving a person personalized accessories can be a good idea.

Did one of your friends get a new job? Why not embelish a bracelet with her favorite nickname. Why not consider a new watch for the special friend in your life? Why wouldn't your best friend love to be congratulated on a job well done? Many of these items can be found for under 50 dollars. These gifts are a great way to remind your special friends, coworkers and other deserving persons how much they mean to you.

Did one of the people you work with just get a promotion? Why not show them how happy you are for them with an inexpensive piece of personalized jewelry? You could even have something else personalized if the person does not normally wear jewelry. A coffee mug with the person's name makes a great gift.

Having some stationery printed and personalized will also be well received. Giving gifts to colleagues can be tricky-especially if the two of you have not been promoted together-but giving someone something that has been personalized is a great way to give a meaningful gift. Mothers day is an obvious occasion for the giving of personalized jewelry.

An uncomplicated and masculine looking gift can be the answer. Silver bangle bracelets engraved with a person's name are really sweet presents for girlfriends while wrist ties made from leather that have been emblazoned with the recipient's name makes an awesome gift for men.

Personalized jewelry also makes a great graduation gift. Someone who has graduated from high school is a great personalized gift recipient. After all, nobody can question who the earrings belong to if the owner's name is literally on them! Another great idea is a pendant that has the recipient's picture in it.

Pendants can say I love you without verbal words. Gifting personalizations can be made at any time and saved for a later date when the child is more responsible. Still, personalized accessories are a great gift when a new baby is on the way.

Personalized jewelry is always a good gift. No matter what the occasion, giving someone a gift that has been personalized is fitting. These gifts and accessories are often quite easy to afford. You might even be able to do the personalizing yourself if you are especially crafty. The good news is that there are plenty of tools available today that make personalizing jewelry and other things possible.

Personalized gifts will always be appreciated. It isn't cheesy to personalize a gift with the recipient's name. It is a touching tribute to the person who will be receiving your gifts.
