Creating Unique T-Shirt With T Shirt Printing

By Danis Keithly

T shirt printing sorts a regular shirt from the one you like to wear. Basic plain t-shirts look neat, but the printed ones can turn heads if they have the right style. T shirt printing gives t-shirts distinction from the others. The print can give t-shirt uniqueness and individuality from the plain ones.

For consumers, there is a limited choice range available in the market for t-shirt prints. This may work for your benefit if you are thinking of opening your own t-shirt retail business. In t shirt printing, you can either do it yourself or ask others to do it for you. But in retail, you don't need a good design, you need a great one.

It is best to have at least a basic know-how on t shirt printing. You have to know the various methods and the correct measures on how to plaster your design on the t-shirt. But if you only have a great design idea but don't have either the materials or the sufficient knowledge of the procedure, you can still have the t-shirt business you crave by having others do it for you.

Printing techniques on t-shirts have various types. One of them is silk screening or screen printing. This method is suitable for printing large number of garments. It is also said to be the easiest t shirt printing method. However, this is not advisable if you are using photo quality pictures for your design. If your design calls for many paints, then it may be cheaper to have a printing company to do this.

Other techniques of t shirt printing are the direct-to-garment technique and the heat transfer printing. D-T-G needs the process of directly printing the ink onto the garment, while heat transfer demands the design to be transmitted on a carrier paper then printed onto the t-shirt by heat pressure.

There are other more means applied in printing t-shirts, some even requires stitching and laser technology. The technique you choose should depend on the look you want your t-shirts to achieve.
