Women's Fashion - Tips For Looking The Part In The Winter Months

By Mark Walters

Fashion often seems to pay more attention to looking good than what clothes are actually for - to keep you warm - and it can often be tricky to know how to do both at the same time. Our tips should help you out. One winter fashion tip that every woman should follow is: layers. Wear lots of layers. The extra insulation will keep you warm and, if you find you get too hot, you can always take one off. It also looks great to layer several tees over each other.

If you're after something to wear over your layers to keep you warm when you're out and about, then you can't go wrong with a hoody. You can show your loyalty with college logo hoodies or your fashion savvy with a designer brand. Alternatively, just get yourself a great, thick, snuggly hoody to keep out the winter chill. You're sure to be warm with the fleece lining and hood that you can use to keep your head warm. You can even choose from a whole range of colors.

You've got your top half sorted, but you can't neglect your feet when dressing for the winter. Every woman loves shoes, so this is a great excuse to get some really stylish ones that are also great for the weather. Make sure you keep your balance on icy sidewalks by going for some with good treads on the bottom. We recommend knee high boots as they are available in loads of different styles and will also help keep your legs warm.

If you make one major purchase this winter, make it a fabulous winter coat. This is vital for keeping warm, but you can also use it to make a style statement. If you like to stand out from the crowd, go for a coat with a pattern or in a bold color such as red, purple or green. Alternatively, stick with dark colors for a look that goes with anything. There are also loads of styles to choose from, from stylish leather trenches to amazingly warm ski jackets.

Now you've got your fantastic winter wardrobe sorted, add a few accessories to finish off your trendy look. Winter accessories look great in colors such as pale blue or lilac as they're soft and girly and will go with anything. If you're not a hat person, try keeping your ears warm with a pair of ear muffs instead. Also, instead of the traditional scarf and gloves combination, you could perhaps try a cute pair of mittens to keep your hands warm and add a style twist.
